In other words, the other solutions are bad particularly in the light of LightBurn’s ascension. I just checked mine, Windows 10 Pro, version 1511, OS Build 10586.589 & my updates are all up to date. All of our laser machines support CorelDraw and other applications so you. To me this is the main reason why the cycle time for LightBurn is so much faster than other solutions. They’re both designed to take in an existing design, setup the minimal configurations for burning, and run the job.Ī lot of laser workflows traditionally had these disjointed design->laser configuration->execute job patterns. One thing to remember about k40whisperer is that it wasn’t intended to provide any design capability. The plugin’s toolbar disappears right after starting the laser (with either the cut or engrave icon), and the only way it will reappear is by restarting the program. If you want a hole offset from the engraved area (I was making a key ring), I had the same problem as you. ![]() What I did was use 1 layer for the engrave and 1 layer for the cut. It’s design software that people have extended to be able to do some basic laser control. ![]() Inkscape isn’t really laser control software to be fair. I dont think its intended to come with CorelDraw (an independently licensed software), but it should come with CorelLaser, a driver/utility application made for the k40 that will connect to CorelDraw and allow you to cut/engrave from CorelDraw. ![]()
